The first hotel to be established on the island, Eden Rock – St Barths has always been committed to island life, and invested for a sustainable future. Together with Oetker Hotels as an active UN Global Compact member, we strive to integrate Corporate Social Responsibility in every area of our daily operations.
At Eden Rock – St Barths, the beauty of the Caribbean Sea is not just our backdrop—it is part of who we are. That’s why we are proud to share our ongoing coral reef restoration efforts as part of Oetker Hotels’ Voices of Change series. In partnership with Island Nature St. Barth Experiences, Eden Rock – St Barths is restoring nearby reefs using Biorock structures that promote coral growth. To reduce dependence on imports and protect the Island’s ecosystem, the hotel also uses atmospheric water generators that create clean water from air.

Our recent actions for a better world...
St Jean's Lagoon
Eden Rock – St Barths has led and financed part of the renovation of the nearby St Jean Pond in a public/private partnership with the local government. The one-kilometre circular boardwalk is an ideal area to walk and admire the countless wild bird and fish life now enjoying the wilderness of the lagoon.
Hydroponic Garden
Eden Rock - St Barths' indoor hydroponic growing system produces a large quantity of the greens and herbs that the hotel serves at the Sand Bar - from thyme, rosemary, coriander, basil and mint to chillis and tomatoes…
EDEN REEF
This ongoing project to protect and regenerate the majestic coral reef surrounding the island uses the innovative technology BioRock©. Our Eden Angels work every day to protect our island ecosystem, and have partnered with local non-profit organisation INE (Island Nature St Barth Experience) and our St Jean Bay neighbours, Nikki Beach Saint Barth, to head up the initiative.
