How far is The Lanesborough from airports / train / tube stations?
The Lanesborough is located at Hyde Park Corner (postcode SW1X 7TA). The hotel is located next to Hyde Park Corner London Underground (Tube) Station, serving the Piccadilly Line which has direct access to London Heathrow. The hotel is well serviced by London Black Cabs (taxis) and is a convenient location for collection and drop-off for apps (such as Uber, Wheely, MyTaxi and Addison Lee). By Tube, please allow up to one hour to travel from Hyde Park Corner to London Heathrow. Victoria Railway station is located nearby The Lanesborough, 15 minutes by foot or five minutes by car / taxi. From Victoria Railway station, you can take numerous trains directly to Gatwick Airport, taking on average 45 minutes. The Lanesborough offers valet parking service. Our doorman will securely park your car at a rate of £35 for up to three hours; £60 for up to nine hours and £100 overnight/up to 24 hours. Electric car charging stations are available.

Are pets allowed at The Lanesborough?
We are happy to welcome furry four-legged friends, with most small to medium sized dogs able to stay with their owners in their room or suite. With sufficient notice, the butler team may happily assist with dog-walking and other services. We also welcome well behaved small to medium sized dogs in the Withdrawing Room and the Library Bar. Dogs are to be kept on leads and must be accompanied at all times. Please note pets are not permitted on the furniture.

When did The Lanesborough open?
The Lanesborough Hotel officially opened its doors on Monday, 30 December 1991. The hotel closed for refurbishment in 2013 and re-opened with acclaim in July 2015 following a redesign by renowned architects Alberto Pinto Interior Design, under management of Oetker Hotels. Is there a cigar lounge at The Lanesborough?
Yes, The Garden Room is a bar and lounge with an outdoor covered and heated terrace located on the lower-ground floor of the hotel and features a wide variety of Cuban and pre-Castro cigars.
Are children welcome in the restaurants and bars?
We welcome children under the age 16 at The Lanesborough Grill and the Withdrawing Room, however they must be accompanied by an adult. Identification may be required when ordering alcohol. The Library Bar is open to all ages until 6pm, thereafter guests of 16 years of age and over are welcomed. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted in the Garden Room.
At The Lanesborough Grill, how is a guest’s birthday acknowledged?
The team will be happy to offer a sweet treat with our compliments. In addition and upon prior request, our resident florist can prepare a bouquet to your preference, whilst our pastry team offer a selection of birthday cakes. Yes, children under the age of 18 are permitted to use the pool daily during splash hours. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times on a ratio of two children per adult. Selected spa treatments can be booked for 16 and 17 year olds, when accompanied by an adult.

Yes, there are a number of wheelchair accessible rooms at The Lanesborough with connecting bedroom options. Bathrooms in these rooms feature a raised toilet, grab rails, adjustable shower head and wheel-in shower cubicles to aid guests with health conditions or impairments. These rooms are equipped with emergency alarm systems in the bedroom and bathroom. There is also an public accessible bathroom located on the ground floor of the hotel. All accessible bedrooms are located on the ground floor with step-free access to the street, lobby, restaurants and bars.

Butler service is offered to all guests in all rooms and suites at The Lanesborough as a complimentary service. Do I have my own dedicated butler throughout my stay at The Lanesborough (same for all days)?
Due to the nature of the work, specific butlers may not be able to tend to your room throughout your entire stay, however specific requests may be accommodated with sufficient notice.
What is our accommodation cancellation policy at The Lanesborough?
The cancellation policy when booking rooms and suites at The Lanesborough varies, however, in general cancellations are permitted free of charge up to 24 hours prior to arrival (exclusions based on booked rates apply and cancellations must be made before 3pm local time). Yes, connecting rooms are available and include two connecting Premier Rooms; a two bedroom Hyde Park Corner Suite (connecting to a Premier Room); a two bedroom St. James Suite (connecting to a Junior Suite); a two bedroom Buckingham Suite (connecting to a Junior Suite); a three bedroom Buckingham Suite (connecting to a Junior Suite and an Executive Junior Suite) and a four bedroom Buckingham Suite (connecting to a Junior Suite, an Executive Junior Suite and an Executive Room). Our Signature Suites the Presidential Suite and the Royal Suite, also offer multiple bedroom options.

Yes, our Presidential Suite offers a spacious private terrace overlooking Wellington Arch.

No, our bedrooms are non-smoking rooms. The Garden Room has a terrace where cigar smoking is permitted.
